In light of recent changes to data protection legislation, Westminster Youth Offending Service has developed a new victim referral contact form. The form enables relevant victim data about consent and risk to be passed from the police to the youth offending service’s restorative justice team, without breaching data protection set out under the GDPR. The team use the information on the form when contacting victims to offer restorative justice. The form is available on the RJC’s website. The Restorative Justice Council is delighted to announce that Mounts Bay Academy has been awarded the Restorative Service Quality Mark (RSQM).
The RSQM is a rigorously assessed quality mark which demonstrates that organisations are delivering high quality, safe restorative services that meet the six Restorative Service Standards. Mounts Bay Academy joins other RSQM awardees delivering restorative practices in a range of sectors, including education, criminal justice and care.
Belong aims to reduce crime and the harm that it causes. We specialise in enabling positive development, rehabilitation and recovery amongst those who have been victims of sexual offences or violence offences and perpetrators of sexual or violent offences. Our services include mentoring, art therapy and restorative justice interventions. We work with children, young people and adults in custodial and community settings.
The RJC is pleased to announce that Restorative Cleveland has been awarded the Restorative Service Quality Mark (RSQM).
Restorative Cleveland is a multi-agency partnership funded by the police and crime commissioner to deliver restorative justice throughout Cleveland. The partnership is made up of thirteen organisations including the police, local authorities, victim services and probation services, with a shared vision of ensuring victims have access to high quality restorative justice at any stage of their journey.

Restorative Solutions has an opportunity for a role to work with them to develop and deliver restorative justice services across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
They are looking for an experienced service delivery manager, ideally with a track record of work in restorative practices. In addition, they are looking for experience of implementing multi-agency partnerships across the criminal justice sector, and of working with volunteers and the voluntary sector.
HRH The Princess Royal, patron of the Restorative Justice Council, visited Torquay yesterday to celebrate the launch of the restorative justice service for Devon and Cornwall.
The event brought together staff, volunteers and people who have taken part in restorative justice to discuss its success and the positive outcomes achieved by its approach. The Princess spoke to attendees about the important role of restorative justice in strengthening communities, before unveiling a plaque to celebrate the visit.
Wales Restorative Approaches Partnership (WRAP) is a best practice hub for restorative approaches and practices in Wales.
