Restorative practice in schools helps pupils resolve conflict, build trust and prevent harm.
In these films, young people share how restorative practice has helped them deal with conflict and improve relationships, inside and outside of school.
Chey participated in indirect restorative justice after stealing from her foster carer when she was younger. Here, Chey talks about how restorative justice helped change her perception of the professionals she came into contact with when in care.

Calm Mediation is a registered charity which has been providing a restorative justice service to victims and offenders since 2005 with the support of the Big Lottery. We achieved the Restorative Service Quality Mark in 2016, and provide accredited practitioner training.
We are seeking a dynamic, resourceful restorative service coordinator to continue to build on this reputation for excellence, working with a variety of organisations in the criminal justice sector.

Researchers have published thousands of articles on restorative justice. However, much of this information is behind the paywalls of academic journals or is too lengthy to be of practical use. The RJC’s AGM and annual conference took place on Tuesday 21 November in Angel. Over 80 delegates, members and RJC staff came together to connect, collaborate and celebrate achievements in the field of restorative practice.
A video message from Justice Minister Dr Phillip Lee highlighted the government’s commitment to making restorative justice more widely available to the victims of crime and upcoming plans to engage with Police and Crime Commissioners.
The Restore:London service is a restorative justice service for London. It is funded by the Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC) and is being driven by a consortium of organisations led by Catch22 and including Restorative Solutions, Khulisa and IARS.
The service operates with a Service Delivery Manager overseeing a group of 5 RJ Lead Practitioners/coordinators in a hub and spoke set up based in North, East, South East, South West and West London.
International Restorative Justice Week (19-26 November) starts today, marking the start of an exciting period for the restorative practice field.
