The RJC is delighted to announce that Wandsworth Youth Offending Team’s Victim/Restorative Justice Work has been awarded the Restorative Service Quality Mark (RSQM).
The RSQM is a badge of quality that demonstrates that a service provides safe, high quality restorative practice which meets the six Restorative Service Standards.

The question of discipline in schools is in the media again. The focus point for the debate is a recently reopened academy in Great Yarmouth, which has introduced new behaviour guidelines to improve pupil performance. The leaked guidelines were viewed by some parents and commentators as ‘draconian’, and prompted several requests from parents to transfer children out of the school.
Northumberland Youth Offending Service is the latest organisation to achieve the Restorative Service Quality Mark (RSQM).
The RSQM is a badge of quality that guarantees that a service provides safe, high quality restorative practice which meets the six Restorative Service Standards. Northumberland Youth Offending Service joins other RSQM awardees – in sectors ranging from criminal justice through education to care – delivering high quality restorative processes.

Tomorrow is International Day of Democracy, with a theme of ‘democracy and conflict prevention’. This provides a perfect opportunity to reflect on the vital, but often overlooked, role of restorative practice in strengthening democratic involvement.
Moulton School and Science College is the latest organisation to achieve the Restorative Services Quality Mark.
