Wales Restorative Approaches Partnership (WRAP) is a best practice hub for restorative approaches and practices in Wales. WRAP is a Community Interest Company, social enterprise, and multi stakeholder co-operative. The WRAP team undertake consultancy, training and practice or delivery across five service areas including: education, families, communities, criminal justice and business. The team includes Restorative Justice Council (RJC) approved trainers and accredited practitioners, with local restorative expertise from earliest intervention with families and schools, to work with the highest end harm and risk in prisons.

A restorative approach is an ethos and value base for working with people, rather than to, or for them. The aim is building, maintaining and repairing relationships. To be restorative means believing that decisions are best made and conflicts best resolved by those most directly affected by them. The skills include more formal restorative justice techniques such as conferencing, but extend to simple practices in engagement, early intervention, prevention and response.

WRAP is looking for a dynamic Welsh speaker plus an experienced business professional, who would like to join their board of directors and contribute to the growth and development of the organisation. The organisation was formed in 2014, and achieved so much in a relatively short period of time, including becoming the first restorative services agency in Wales to achieve the RJC’s Restorative Service Quality Mark. They are looking for candidates who will be prepared to make a substantial contribution to the organisation to ensure their long-term commercial success whilst also achieving their strategy and vision.

If you would like more information about the role or wish to find out more about the organisation without commitment, please contact WRAP on or call on 02920 464 950. Applications are open until the 3 June 2018.
