Brighton and Hove City Council: Community Safety Casework Team awarded RSQM

The RJC is pleased to announce that Brighton and Hove City Council’s Community Safety Casework Team has been awarded the Restorative Service Quality Mark (RSQM) for its restorative work. The Community Safety Team works in partnership to improve community safety, reduce crime and disorder and to help people feel safer across the city.

Chris Straker, the RJC’s interim chief executive, said:

“I would like to offer my congratulations to Brighton and Hove City Council’s Community Safety Casework Team for successfully completing the RSQM. This is an achievement that demonstrates their commitment to providing the safest and most effective restorative practice.”

The RSQM is a badge of quality that guarantees that a service provides safe, high quality restorative practice which meets the six Restorative Service Standards. Brighton and Hove City Council’s Community Safety Casework Team joins other RSQM awardees – in sectors ranging from criminal justice through education to care – delivering high quality restorative processes.

“We are very excited to hear the good news that we have achieved the RSQM! We have made significant progress in developing Brighton & Hove as a restorative city since 2015. This means that we are considered to be consistently offering safe and effective restorative practice in our city.”
