The role is diverse, you will need excellent I.T. and customer services skills as you will be the main point of contact between their clients and staff. You will work closely with all members of the team in different aspects of the role. The role is hybrid, with the option of home working available.

Long delayed Government proposals won’t empower victims

The Restorative Justice Council notes today’s announcement by the Ministry of Justice that the Victims and Prisoners Bill has been introduced. This is a revised version of the long-awaited Victims Bill, published in draft form last May. Our immediate concern is not in the detail but the way the Government has at the last minute and without any consultation, shifted the focus away from victims by including additional proposals about the Parole Board.

APPG Letter to Secretary of State regarding HMPPS RJ Policy Framework

HMPPS recently published a policy framework on Restorative practice which sets out the professional responsibilities of offender managers, probation practitioners, and victim liaison officers (VLOs) for suitability and referral for restorative justice services. Many of the RJC's members raised concerns with the framework and its impact across the sector.

Communications and Campaigns Officer

Restorative Justice for All (RJ4All) are seeking a confident and innovative communicator with a strong attention to detail to lead on RJ4All's communication and dissemination needs, amplifying our voice and maximising our impact. The post-holder will also lead on RJ4All's campaigns including advocacy and social policy initiatives, online fundraising campaigns and in-person events. The role is flexible, working 2-3 days per week.

Community Project Officer

Restorative Justice for All (RJ4All) are looking for a Community Project Officer to deliver their local projects in South East London, including youth clubs, cultural and art workshops, awareness raising campaigns, research and policy work. The role involves carrying out research and fieldwork to managing projects. The post holder will be expected to monitor the impact and finances of their projects, develop new ideas and lead on discussions and policy debates resulting from their work. The role is office-based and 4 days per week.

Restorative South Yorkshire awarded Registered Service Provider status

The RJC is pleased to announce that Restorative South Yorkshire have been awarded Service Provider status.

The service, which is delivered by Remedi and funded by South Yorkshire Police and Crime Commissioner and the Yorkshire and the Humber Probation Service, provides opportunities for those harmed by crime and those responsible for the harm to communicate in a safe environment with the support of trained facilitators.
