Registered Training Provider – RJC-Connect CPD Event Approval

    Approved CPD

 

The RJC can assess CPD events for approval as a Connect CPD activity.

Approval is awarded for single events only. For courses/events which run on a regular basis you should consider applying for Course Approval. You can apply for Course Approval HERE.

Connect CPD events which are approved by the RJC will be listed on our website and promoted with our Registered Practitioners and wider membership. Upon you confirming delegates have successfully completed your event, we will provide each delegate with a Connect CPD certificate of attendance. For our Registered Practitioners, this will count towards their RJC Approved annual CPD requirement.

As a Registered Training Provider, you can apply to have single CPD event approved at a cost of £36.00 per event.

Non-Registered Training Provider – RJC-Connect CPD Event Approval

Approval is awarded for single events only. For courses/events which run on a regular basis you should consider applying to become a Registered Training Provider with Course Approval. You can find out more about becoming registered with the RJC HERE.

Connect CPD events which are approved by the RJC will be listed on our website and promoted with our Registered Practitioners and wider membership. Upon you confirming delegates have successfully completed your event, we will provide each delegate with a Connect CPD certificate of attendance. For our Registered Practitioners, this will count towards their RJC Approved annual CPD requirement.

As a Non-Registered Training Provider, you can apply to have single CPD event approved at a cost of £110.00 per event.

Youth Worker - Nottingham and Derby

You will be working with children and young people (10-18) and delivering a range of interactive crime prevention and victim awareness programmes within Schools, alternative education and care settings.

Remedi have a number of programmes designed to educate, empower and support young people with the challenges and choices that they face.  Our ‘Restorative Choices’ programmes focus on areas such as child criminal exploitation- county Lines, knife crime, domestic abuse, misogyny and hate crime.

Justice Committee Report backs RJC’s concerns about the Victims Bill

Today the Justice Select Committee has published its report on the draft Victims Bill which the Government published on 25 May 2022. The Committee’s pre-legislative scrutiny of the Bill was a very welcome move, but the Government needs to move quickly to give reassurance that it will present the long-delayed Victims Bill soon to Parliament and that it will take account of the Justice Committee’s comments.

Dame Vera Baird announces resignation as Victims Commissioner

29 September 2022

Dame Vera Baird has announced her resignation as the Victims Commissioner - her last day in office is to be Friday 30 September. Her office tweeted her letter of resignation to the new Secretary of State for Justice, Brandon Lewis MP, on Friday 23 September. Dame Vera’s term of office was due to end last June. Whilst previous Commissioners have had this extended for a second term automatically, the Government announced early this year that it would be conducting a full-scale recruitment process. However, the last Secretary of State Dominic Raab encouraged Dame Vera to apply.

Benjamin Fisk has been funded by the Restorative Justice Council and University of Gloucestershire to undertake a PhD titled “Evidencing Success and Successful Evidence in Restorative Work: Developing Models of “Effectiveness”, “Efficiency”, and “Impact”.
