Strategic Plan - 2024 - 2027

I am delighted to present the RJC’s Strategic Plan for the period 2024-2027. When I accepted the role as Chair of Trustees in June 2023, I inherited the Council’s Strategic Plan set back in 2021. It was important to me that the team continued to deliver this plan rather than changing direction. Making this decision gave me time to fully understand our history and bring together a dedicated team of trustees with the skills to fully support our CEO to deliver his ambitious vision for the RJC’s future.

This year has been a significant milestone in the history of the RJC as we celebrated our 25th Anniversary. The Board, our CEO and staff have taken time to reflect on our past and set our direction for the future. It has been a year where we have been proud to celebrate our success with our members, partners and the wider restorative sector.

Steve is a male in his 30’s with a primary diagnosis of Autism and is detained on a hospital order with restrictions (S.37/41). Steve has been in secure services for 7 years and is currently in a low secure forensic unit.

We have created this document as a concise reference point for potential parliamentary candidates to understand the basics of restorative justice and how it can be implemented in various policy domains.

It was created by the Restorative Justice Council in partnership with experts from various fields including criminal justice, education, healthcare, and community-based organisations.

Registered Restorative Organisation - Large - Renewal Form

Thank you for deciding to renew your Registered Restorative Organisation award

We need to capture some information to start your renewal. Within this form we will be asking you to comment on the following points: 

  • Your main challenges over the past 12 months
  • How you have evaluated your restorative practices
  • Your restorative practice priorities for the coming year
  • CPD activities provided to your employees

The information you provide will be used by your assessor to determine whether any additional evidence will be required to process your renewal application. If this is the case, your assessor will contact you to arrange a time to discuss what additional assessment needs to be undertaken.

Please outline what, if any challenges you have faced over the past 12 months in delivering your restorative practice priorities.
Please outline what quality assurance activities you have undertaken over the past 12 months to ensure that your employees are practicing in line with current RJC Practice Guidance. This could include observations, feedback questionnaires or staff surveys.
Please describe what you have learnt from your evaluations and, if development areas were identified, what actions you have taken to address these.
Please outline your restorative practice priorities for the coming year.

Resolve West is a non-profit organisation established over 35 years ago. Operating across Bristol, Bath, South Gloucestershire, North Somerset, and Somerset, their dedicated team of staff and volunteers provide a warm and compassionate service to those in need.
