Training Provider Code of Practice

This Code of Practice has been developed to support restorative trainers and training organisations to deliver high quality restorative practice training and to maintain and strengthen the quality of learning. Training, particularly for practitioners, is the bedrock of quality restorative practice. It is imperative that training for future trainers and practitioners is delivered to a consistently high standard and covers the core principles of restorative practice in sufficient detail.

Using Restorative Justice in Cases of Domestic Violence

We were recently asked our views on whether now is the right time to engage with the National Police Chiefs' Council to review their guidance on the use of the restorative justice in cases of domestic violence. Members' were concerned that the existing guidance, originally produced by the Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO), is not consistently being implemented which has, understandably, created confusion amongst practitioners.

Restorative Now awarded Registered Training Provider Status

The RJC are pleased to announce that Restorative Now have been awarded Registered Training Provider status.

Long standing members of the RJC, Restorative Now, are the first training provider to transfer from our Training Provider Quality Mark (TPQM) to the RJC’s newly launched Registered Training Provider status.

Job opportunity: Young Victim Case Worker

Remedi are recruiting a Young Victim Case Worker to work as part of the ‘Got Your Back’ team in Derbyshire. The Role will be supporting young people aged 17 and under emotionally and practically to help them Cope and Recover from an offence. The role will be 35 hours per week over 5 days (including some evening and Saturday work) based at Derbyshire Constabulary Head Quarters in Ripley. Level 2 vetting and DBS checks will be required.
