London Borough of Sutton’s Children’s Services awarded the TPQM
The RJC is pleased to announce that London Borough of Sutton’s Children’s Services has been awarded the Training Provider Quality Mark.
Chris Straker, the RJC’s interim chief executive, said:
“Congratulations to Sutton’s Children’s Services on achieving the TPQM. This award demonstrates that the team delivers restorative training that meets rigorous standards, increasing the confidence of learners and commissioners.”
The TPQM is a quality mark for restorative training providers. It enables training providers to show that they have been externally recognised, while also giving commissioners and learners confidence that the training delivered meets recognised standards.
London Borough of Sutton’s Children’s Services joins other TPQM awardees – working across sectors from criminal justice through education to care – delivering high quality restorative training.
Melissa Garner, restorative justice worker at Sutton’s Children’s Services, said:
“Sutton's Children's Services have dedicated themselves to implementing a restorative model to children's social care. Applying for the TPQM gives us that validation and security that what we are doing adheres to the standards and the principles that underlie restorative practice.”
