Ms Clair Aldington
Clair was trained by Oxfordshire YOS and Thames Valley Police as an RJ Conference Facilitator in 2002 and is also an artist-maker. She worked for six years with Oxfordshire YOS and in 2008 co-founded space2face, a restorative arts project in Shetland. This independent charity won a Restorative Practices UK award (criminal justice) in 2016. Clair developed the idea of co-creating reparative artwork gifts as part of restorative processes and has spoken at conferences about using the arts and making in restorative practice. In 2017, she was awarded Arts and Humanities Research Council PhD funding with Northumbria University to investigate the role of the arts in restorative processes.
