Description

I started working within the field of restorative justice in March 2015 working with victims of crime to explore the opportunity to communicate with the person who harmed them. I completed serious and complex case training including sensitive work with RJ victims and progressed to working within a prison environment, managing a project offering offender-initiated restorative justice. I have completed my Level 5 Certificate in Restorative Approaches which complemented my practical portfolio and case experience. I now work within the Youth Justice Service as a Restorative Justice Officer to engage with victims to ensure their voice is heard within youth justice proceedings and also deliver victim awareness interventions to young people. My work with both victims and offenders allows me to see both sides of the coin and support and encourage individuals engaging in the restorative justice process to deliver effective and meaningful interventions and empower their recovery and rehabilitation.
