First restorative police and crime commissioner hub to achieve the RSQM
The Police and Crime Commissioner for Cheshire Restorative Justice and Mediation Service has become the first restorative police and crime commissioner hub to achieve the Restorative Service Quality Mark (RSQM).
The RSQM is a badge of quality that demonstrates that a service provides safe, high quality restorative practice that meets the six Restorative Service Standards. The Police and Crime Commissioner for Cheshire Restorative Justice and Mediation Service joins 22 other RSQM awardees who work in criminal justice, care and education.
Kyla Hall, Cheshire Constabulary’s integrated offender management strategic manager, said: “It is essential to the Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) for Cheshire that the restorative justice service we provide is of the highest standard and that safeguarding is in place. The RSQM shows the public that our policies and processes have been tested, and assures them that they will receive a high quality service. We are delighted to have achieved the award.”
Jon Collins, chief executive officer of the RJC, said: “It’s great to see a PCC achieving the RSQM. We look forward to seeing many more PCCs achieve this award in the future to demonstrate the quality of their restorative services.”
