About the post

Lead Change. Restore Relationships. Shape the Future.

Are you a visionary leader passionate about restorative values, social justice, and community wellbeing?

If you are an Advanced Restorative Practitioner or Trainer (preferably RJC recognised), this is an opportunity to join us in a full-time leadership role where you can combine strategic influence with restorative practice delivery.

We also welcome applications from candidates who bring strong leadership skills and restorative values but do not yet hold this qualification for whom the role will be offered at 22 hours per week.

Wales Restorative Approaches Partnership is seeking a Chief Executive Officer to lead us into our next exciting phase of development and growth, following the forthcoming retirement of our founding Director.

This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of restorative working in Wales and beyond.

Our mission is simple but profound, to build, maintain and repair relationships through restorative approaches. We believe that everyone can be restorative, and we’re looking for a leader who can bring that belief to life every day.

Our work spans five core service areas:

• Criminal Justice
• Education
• Families
• Communities
• Business

Through this work, we help individuals and organisations build trust, repair harm, and foster compassion, accountability, and inclusion.

About the Role

As Chief Executive Officer, you will:

• Lead our strategic vision, mission, and culture, working collaboratively with the Board, Senior Leadership Team, and partners.
• Model restorative and trauma-informed leadership, embodying values such as equity, empathy, compassion, and accountability.
• Drive strategic growth, innovation, and sustainability across our services and partnerships.
• Represent W.R.A.P. nationally and internationally as our key ambassador and spokesperson, influencing policy and shaping the future of restorative practice.
• Lead by example, maintaining a strong connection with delivery work through training, consultation, or complex case practice (circa 40% of role).

This role can be offered full-time or part-time, providing flexibility for the right candidate.

What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for a leader who is both strategic and compassionate, capable of inspiring others while maintaining operational excellence.

You’ll have:

• Extensive people leadership and organisational management experience.
• A proven ability to build, maintain, and repair relationships at senior and strategic levels.
• Demonstrable experience in restorative, trauma-informed, or aligned practice.
• The ability to lead change, grow partnerships, and secure sustainable funding and investment.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills, with confidence representing an organisation publicly.
• Commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and wellbeing in leadership.

It would be advantageous to have:

• Advanced restorative practitioner or trainer training (RJC recognised).
• Experience in the not-for-profit or social enterprise sector.
• Strategic experience across W.R.A.P.’s core sectors.

Why join us?

• Be part of a values-led organisation that changes lives and communities for the better.
• Join a family-friendly, supportive team that prioritises wellbeing, collaboration, and inclusion.
• Enjoy a competitive salary with the potential for a year-end bonus.
• Benefit from hybrid working, opportunities for professional development, and the chance to make the role your own.
