We are looking for an enthusiastic volunteer to help support Why me? to
widen access to Restorative Justice for people affected by crime. The
volunteer will help to craft our communications to ensure that our key
messages reach our audience, and support the running of any upcoming
events and forums. Other work may include helping with fundraising
research and assisting with our policy and campaigning work to help give
people affected by crime stronger rights to Restorative Justice.

We are a small charity, so we are looking for someone who is willing to be flexible and
provide support where needed. By joining us, you will be making a real
difference to the organisation and the lives of people affected by crime.

About the post

The role will involve activities such as:
- Drafting and scheduling posts for Why me?’s social media platforms
- Helping to curate Why me?’s weekly newsletter
- Designing and creating graphics in line with the Why me? brand
- Supporting the creation and editing of video content to promote Why
me?’s work
- Supporting updates of the Why me? website
- Editing and proofreading blogs for our website

The role may include the following:
- Fundraising desktop research
- Supporting the organisation as needed
- Desktop research on policy related matters
- Maintaining and updating our policy records
- Knowledge of and interest in the Criminal Justice System and
Restorative Justice

This role would be suitable for someone with the following skills:
- Accessible writing skills
- Proofreading/editing
- Social media experience
- Desktop research
- Use of excel
- Experience of basic video editing

minoritised communities who are underrepresented in the Restorative
Justice sector.

Location

Hybrid working, online and London office (Canopi, 7-14 Great Dover
Street, SE1 4YR)

Hours

-Minimum 2 days a week, ideally working on a Thursday when all staff are
in the office
- Minimum commitment of 3 months
