Young Persons Restorative Domestic Abuse Practitioner (Maternity Cover)

Remedi are recruiting a Young Persons Restorative Domestic Abuse Practitioner, to remotely provide high quality Restorative interventions and advice for young people and their families with a focus on reducing risk and aiding emotional recovery from the harmful impacts of domestic abuse. This will include emotional and practical support and the delivery of restorative interventions face to face, over the phone and via video call.

Remedi want you to be able to provide emotional and practical support to people affected by Domestic Abuse. Your primary role will involve delivering support and restorative interventions with young people who are experiencing domestic abuse.

In addition to this, they want you to be able to deliver awareness raising workshops in groups and on a 1-2-1 basis to young people. You will also be expected to utilise restorative approaches with young people and sign post to relevant support services where necessary.

You will be fully trained in the CEASE programme and using restorative approaches with the people you work WITH. This will include being trained and confident in delivering Restorative Mentoring Services, Trauma Informed Practice, Restorative Approaches and Safeguarding. This will help the people Remedi work with to cope with what is happening to them and their families, and to work towards reducing the impact of the Domestic Abuse.

You will work to build positive relationships and ensure partnership working with Supporting Victims’ Unit, Housing, DWP, Health, Social Services, Solicitors, Police, Youth Offending Service, Courts, Domestic Abuse Services etc. on behalf of clients and to act as their advocate where appropriate. Good working relationships are key to succeeding in this area of work.

Hours | 35 hours per week

Salary | £20,280 - £22,440 per annum plus 6% employer pension contribution
