Volunteer Community Panel Members (Croydon)

node leader
13 September 2022

Croydon Youth Offending Service is recruiting for volunteers to work as Community Panel Members with young people who have been sentenced to a Referral Order by the Courts. We are specifically looking for people who either work or live in Croydon and who are representative of our local communities.

As a Community Panel Member, you will engage young people on a Referral Order by discussing their needs and the relevant interventions to go on their Contract. Panel meetings are delivered using a restorative language and the wishes of those affected by the harm caused are always taken into consideration. After the initial panel meeting you will meet regularly with the young person and their parents/carers to monitor their progress and to instigate breach proceedings when necessary.
