Three more services achieve the RSQM
The RJC is pleased to announce that three more services - Trafford Youth Offending Service Restorative Justice Service, Restorative Gloucestershire: Restorative Interventions Service and Nottingham City Youth Offending Team Restorative Justice Service - have been awarded the Restorative Service Quality Mark (RSQM).
The RSQM is a badge of quality that demonstrates that a service provides safe, high quality restorative practice that meets the six Restorative Service Standards. 28 organisations working in criminal justice, care and education have now achieved the award.
Cllr David Mellen, portfolio holder for Early Intervention and Early Years in Nottingham, said: “We are committed to ensuring quality, safe restorative approaches throughout the organisation and partnership working. Achieving the RSQM demonstrates this commitment and gives us a benchmark to further develop quality restorative work.”
Sarah Brown, operational manager at Trafford Youth Offending Service, said: “Having the RSQM shows service users that we have achieved kite mark status and that we place a lot of emphasis on our work with victims alongside our work with offending young people. Attaining the RSQM is such an achievement and we are very proud to have this recognition.”
Rebecca Beard, manager at Restorative Gloucestershire, concluded: “During the process we got a lot of independent insight into the service we are providing. This has been really helpful for developing the service and looking at areas to improve on. It’s good to know that we have achieved the high standards set by the RJC and that we are offering all of our service users a safe and effective service.”
