Southwark YOS awarded the RSQM

The RJC is pleased to announce that Southwark YOS has been awarded the Restorative Service Quality Mark (RSQM).
Jon Collins, the RJC’s chief executive, said:
“Congratulations to Southwark YOS, who have shown that they are providing the highest standards in restorative practice through successfully completing the RSQM.”
The RSQM is a badge of quality that guarantees that a service provides safe, high quality restorative practice which meets the six Restorative Service Standards. Southwark YOS joins other RSQM awardees – in sectors ranging from criminal justice through education to care – delivering high quality restorative processes.
Deirdre Leask, an advanced practitioner at Southwark YOS, said:
“It felt wonderful when we discovered that we’d passed the RSQM, which we first decided to apply for to set ourselves a target of achieving best practice in our restorative work with victims and young offenders. It was a challenging but fulfilling process, and the best possible way of making sure that we were providing victims and offenders with a good service.”
