Sefton Youth Offending Team awarded the RSQM

The RJC is pleased to announce that Seton Youth Offending Team (YOT) has been awarded the Restorative Service Quality Mark (RSQM).

Jon Collins, the RJC’s chief executive, said:

“Through completing the RSQM, Sefton YOT has shown that it is providing the highest quality restorative justice and I would like to commend the whole team for this achievement.”

The RSQM is a badge of quality that guarantees that a service provides safe, high quality restorative practice which meets the six Restorative Service Standards. Sefton YOT joins other RSQM awardees – in sectors ranging from criminal justice through education to care – delivering high quality restorative processes.

Moira Adams, Sefton YOT’s practice manager and restorative justice lead, said:

“We are delighted and proud to hear that the hard work that has gone into providing Sefton YOT’s restorative service has been formally recognised by the RJC. Completing the RSQM was challenging but worthwhile, as it highlighted key areas for development, which we were able to target with our assessor, who was very approachable and supportive throughout. As a result, our staff and the public can now have great confidence in our restorative service.”
