RJC Membership Trustee Vacancies
The RJC is inviting members to stand for election to join our board of trustees
The RJC is inviting members to stand for election to join our board of trustees. We are currently seeking to recruit 3 membership trustees to take up position in November 2020.
The board of trustees is the RJC's governing body. Our role as a board is about corporate governance – collectively setting goals and ensuring that the RJC works effectively to meet those goals for the public benefit.
Trustees play a vital role in guiding and enabling our work. Seven RJC trustees are elected directly from the membership. They reflect the broad field of restorative practice and act in the best interests of the RJC to help us meet our charitable aims and fulfil our vision for everyone to have access to quality restorative practice.

We would welcome applications from potential trustees who have the following skills/or who are from the following sectors:
Skills
- finance, income generation and fundraising
- business development
- standards and practice development
Sectors
- education
- mental health / social care
- housing
- victim and/or offender services
- police
- youth justice
- academia
We welcome applications from all sections of the community but particularly encourage applicants from a BME or White Other background as these groups are currently under-represented on our board.
If you would like to stand for election please download the Becoming a Restorative Justice Council Trustee information pack and Trustee nomination form below. Nomination forms need to be completed and sent to enquiries@restorativejustice.org.uk by 5pm on Friday 30 October 2020.
All nominated membership trustee candidates will put forward for election and voted for by our membership. This will take place at the RJC’s Annual General Meeting on Friday 20 November 2020.
