Restorative Solutions, Portsmouth Mediation Service and Warwickshire Youth Justice Service awarded the RSQM

The RJC is pleased to announce that Restorative Solutions, Portsmouth Mediation Service and Warwickshire Youth Justice Service have been awarded the Restorative Service Quality Mark (RSQM).

Jon Collins, the RJC’s chief executive, said:

“I would like to congratulate Restorative Solutions, Portsmouth Mediation Service and Warwickshire Youth Justice Service for successfully completing the RSQM. This is evidence of their ongoing commitment to delivering the highest standards in restorative practice.”

The RSQM is a badge of quality that guarantees that a service provides safe, high quality restorative practice which meets the six Restorative Service Standards. Restorative Solutions, Portsmouth Mediation Service and Warwickshire Youth Justice Service join other RSQM awardees – in sectors ranging from criminal justice through education to care – delivering high quality restorative processes.

Tony Walker, Restorative Solutions’ director of service delivery, said:

“Gaining the RSQM is a real achievement for all of our dedicated staff who go above and beyond to support victims through the restorative justice process. We work with a range of commissioners across the country and this award demonstrates to them that we deliver a high quality service.”

Steve Rolls, manager at Portsmouth Mediation Service, said:

“As a team we were passionate about setting a new restorative course, so it felt like a great achievement when we heard that we’d successfully passed the RSQM. We have nothing but praise for the help and support that we received from the RJC which was only ever an e-mail or telephone call away.”

Tony Begley, Warwickshire Youth Justice Service’s operational manager, said:

“The RSQM provided us with the opportunity to reflect on areas that required development and the process was smooth and easy to navigate, with clear timescales throughout. The public, our partner agencies and our staff can now have an increased level of confidence in our service knowing that we have this accreditation.”
