Restorative Practitioner

This is an opportunity to join a passionate team with the goal of deterring children and young people from crime. Remedi are recruiting to this role to work with young people at risk of criminality in Manchester Secondary pupil referral unit.
Thye are looking for someone who is passionate about helping people and want to work in a job where they can make a tangible difference to someone's life.
Remedi are keen to hear from candidates who have a genuine desire and motivation to help and support young people that are on the periphery of the criminal justice system to deter them from this path.
A key element of your work will be the delivery of both 1-1 and group sessions with young people as well as delivering workshops in the PRU. These sessions will take a restorative approach and will be based on the needs of the young people accessing the service.
This project will take a holistic approach to early intervention so you will need to work closely with Manchester PRU, Greater Manchester Police colleagues, schools and youth provisions within the community. We want this person to spend most of their time working WITH young people, however they will also be expected to attend multi-agency meetings to discuss cases and make appropriate referrals to other agencies for further support.
Enhanced DBS checks will also be required before posts are confirmed.

Salary | £20,280 per annum plus 6% employer pension contribution
Funding for these posts is initially secured until 31st March 2022 with continuation funding being sought
