Restorative Justice and Victim Officer
Southwark Youth Justice Service is looking for a new member of their Restorative Justice and Victim Team, who has completed a minimum of three days training in Restorative Justice and believes in restorative values and principles and is committed to enabling others to repair harm.
They are looking for somebody who can engage with young people who have committed offences, with their families and with those who have been harmed by them, from a wide range of backgrounds, ages and abilities. They are looking for somebody who can overcome communication barriers caused by adverse life experiences and discrimination amongst our service users.
Southwark YJS has a longstanding and well-established commitment to restorative justice. As an RJVO you will offer support, opportunities to engage in a restorative process and signposting to other specialist services, to all victims of youth crime referred to us. You will work restoratively with the young people who have harmed them, aiming for repair and rehabilitation for all involved. You will also have the opportunity to deliver victim impact group work and family restorative interventions. You will help us promote restorative Referral Order Panels and deliver training in restorative practice.

Hours | 36 - including anti-social hours to meet the needs of victims and working families.
Salary | Starting salary Level 9 £35,298 pa plus Training and development, generous annual leave, good pension.
