Reparation exhibition, Never throw out anyone, is open until 30 April

The exhibition, Never throw out anyone, opens today at City Hall, London. It shows the restorative community reparation work done by young people who have offended and been supported by youth offending services across London and the Surrey Youth Support Service.
These young people carried out work to repair the harm they caused to victims and communities, and Never throw out anyone presents photos of their reparative activities. Also on display are products of their work such as pottery, woodwork and handmade cards, all of which have been donated to organisations like hospices and care homes.
The exhibition aims to demonstrate the positive impact reparation has had on the young people and the meaningful work that has made a difference in their communities. Its title is based on a quote from the actress Audrey Hepburn, who said: ‘‘People, even more than things, have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed, and redeemed; never throw out anyone.’’
Free to attend, Never throw out anyone takes place on the lower floor of City Hall, The Queen’s Walk, London SE1 2AA from 22 to 30 April. If you have any questions, please contact Rebecca Palmer at Rebecca.Palmer@london.gov.uk.
