Practitioner Manager – Case Management

We are looking for someone who has experience in management or is an experienced practitioner who would like to make the transition into a management role from a supervisory or mentoring role. The Practitioner Manager – Case Management will have the opportunity to:

Supervise, mentor and support experienced YOS practitioners in case management practice
Support continuous improvement
Become part of a supportive management team
Have a well-informed personal development plan ensuring access to a range of high quality training

About the post

You will need:

Appropriate Social Work qualification.
Registered Social Worker
Three years recent relevant post qualification experience in a Youth Offending Service or in Childrens’ Social Care setting
Experience in case management with complex cases and those at risk of offending.
Experience in an assessment framework, delivering training and oversight of assessment, planning, delivery of interventions and supervision in the community
Experience in managing; supervising and/or mentoring staff
Up to date knowledge of current legislation and statutory regulations relevant to service area
Ability to manage risk and complex cases, including planning for managing risk to others and risks to children from others

You must have a proven track record of management oversight of effective practice or a willingness to learn; as well as knowledge of Youth Justice standards.
 

Location 

Main Place of Work: 91 Salisbury Road, Barry, CF62 6PD

Hours 

Working Pattern: Monday to Thursday 8.30 –5.00 p.m. Friday 8.30 –4.30 p.m. Evening and weekend work as and when required

Salary

Pay Details: Grade 10 SCP, 36 –39 £44,428 - £47,420 p.a.
