Operational Development Manager

An exciting position has become available for an Operational Development Manager to join WRAP's expanding team. A pivotal and dynamic role within the organisation, you will be responsible for the smooth and effective running of the business aligned to our core restorative values. The role is diverse and involves generating new ideas as well as being responsive to problem solve issues as they emerge. You will ensure all aspects of their business collaborate and connect together, so they deliver and monitor high quality assured services. You will support internal organisational relationships, communications, and reporting, and help maintain their restorative ethos and learning. You will be given autonomy to create, develop and adapt new systems to support our business as W.R.A.P. continues to grow. The office is based in the centre of Cardiff, with opportunities for flexible working from home, depending on business needs.
Role Requirements
- Commitment to modelling restorative values and co-operative principles in all activities
- Excellent relationship, communication, and organisational skills
- Excellent IT and digital skills
- Extensive experience of being an effective Operational Manager in relevant sectors
- Experience of successful Project Management of multiple projects and diverse teams
- Demonstrate a solutions focused and learning mindset, problem solving in collaboration with everyone involved and remaining person-centred
- Ability to create and maintain effective management systems and organisational processes
- Ability to write reports to a variety of audiences including to Boards of Directors and funders
- Ability and proven experience in co-creating and co-developing in-house IT systems, including website development, CRM systems, training booking systems and social media
Role Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to identify operational needs emerging from our vision, mission, and strategic plans to maintain a creative culture of continuous improvement
- Develop Operational Plans from strategic plans, successful bids, and contracts, ensuring outcomes are achieved and communicated effectively to the appropriate leads and with the WRAP team and Board of Directors
- Provide direct line management of function areas team managers within the business, ensuring communications and processes are effective and joined up cross the business areas and projects
- Responsibility for co-ordinating resources within the business to ensure the business is adequately resourced and capacity is monitored closely, ensuring wellbeing remains a priority
- Contribute to raising awareness and ensuring application of corporate processes, policies, and procedures with all staff and other stakeholders
- Drive and manage quality assured delivery of training, practice, and projects Lead on data collection, analysis, collation and reporting from across the business in a timely manner Lead on the regular review of internal business processes to ensure they are robust and as effective as possible
- Contribute to developing the business’ membership services offer and delivery
- Contribute to quality assurance processes, compliance, and awards
- Contribute to writing funding and grant applications and reports Undertake any other duties, as required, appropriate to the post
