Northumbria CRC awarded the RSQM
The RJC is pleased to announce that Northumbria Community Rehabilitation Company (CRC) has been awarded the Restorative Service Quality Mark (RSQM).
Jon Collins, the RJC’s chief executive, said:
“Northumbria CRC has demonstrated through completing the RSQM that it is providing the highest standards in restorative practice, and I would like to congratulate the whole team on this achievement.”
The RSQM is a badge of quality that guarantees that a service provides safe, high quality restorative practice which meets the six Restorative Service Standards. Northumbria CRC joins other RSQM awardees – in sectors ranging from criminal justice through education to care – delivering high quality restorative processes.
Gary Connor, Northumbria CRC’s operational lead for restorative justice, said:
“Achieving RSQM status felt like an extremely positive reward for the hard work undertaken by the restorative justice staff at Northumbria CRC. As an organisation, we have a long history of using evidence-led approaches in our work, and the restorative focus provided by the RSQM greatly assisted us to embed victim awareness work throughout our approach. There is a definite sense amongst all those involved that we are now providing improved services for victims and offenders as a result.”
