The RJC is pleased to announce that Media Academy Cardiff has been awarded the Restorative Service Quality Mark (RSQM).

Jon Collins, the RJC’s chief executive, said:

“I would like to offer my congratulations to Media Academy Cardiff for successfully completing the RSQM. This is an achievement that demonstrates their commitment to providing the safest and most effective restorative practice.”

The RSQM is a badge of quality that guarantees that a service provides safe, high quality restorative practice which meets the six Restorative Service Standards. Media Academy Cardiff joins other RSQM awardees – in sectors ranging from criminal justice through education to care –  delivering high quality restorative processes.

Joseph Lloyd, restorative volunteer coordinator, Media Academy Cardiff, said:

“To learn that we had achieved the RSQM gave us a huge feeling of satisfaction. It was great to find out that all the hard work we had put into the process had been recognised and was worthwhile.

Working towards the RSQM provided us with the opportunity to review processes and to identify areas for improvement in-line with national standards and best practice. This has enabled Media Academy Cardiff and those it works with to have confidence in the work being delivered.

The RSQM is worth the resource investment and I would highly recommend it to other organisations considering it.”
