Maerdy Community Primary School awarded the RSQM
The RJC is pleased to announce that Maerdy Community Primary School has been awarded the Restorative Service Quality Mark (RSQM).
Chris Straker, the RJC’s interim chief executive, said:
“I’m so pleased to see that Maerdy Community Primary School has achieved the RSQM. This award demonstrates their commitment to safe and effective restorative practice throughout their school.”
The RSQM is a badge of quality that guarantees that a service provides safe, high quality restorative practice which meets the six Restorative Service Standards. Maerdy Community Primary School joins other RSQM awardees – in sectors ranging from criminal justice through education to care – in delivering high quality restorative processes.
Sue Belcher, headteacher at Maerdy Community Primary School, said:
“We were delighted to receive the news that everyone's hard work had been recognised for their commitment to restorative approaches. Undertaking the RSQM has helped us develop our reflective practice, and to ensure systems are in place to protect service providers.”
