Job opportunity: Thames Valley Restorative Justice Service seeks a restorative justice senior practitioner

Do you want to be part of developing an exciting new project within the Thames Valley Restorative Justice Service (TVRJS)?

Accredited and renowned for high quality restorative justice interventions, TVRJS is looking for an experienced and highly motivated senior restorative justice practitioner.  This .8 (4 days a week) post will provide restorative justice skills and expertise for the recently established Victim-Initiated Restorative Justice Service in the Thames Valley.

The post is funded by the Police and Crime Commissioner, Thames Valley.

Salary on NJC pay scale point 37 pro-rata £31,846 (FTE).

The role: It will cover all the Crown Courts in the Thames Valley, and will offer the opportunity to develop pre-sentence provision within the Thames Valley and undertake a senior practitioner role.

  • Build on the Oxford Crown Court pre-sentence restorative justice development in Thames Valley and extend the work across the locality and into the remaining Thames Valley Crown Courts;
  • Develop protocols and processes which support the sustainable and effective delivery of Crown Court pre-sentence restorative justice delivery across Thames Valley Crown Courts;
  • Contribute to the development and co-ordination of a volunteer base for the delivery of pre-sentence restorative justice cases in liaison with colleagues;
  • Provide input into case supervision, skills support, and ‘mentoring’  in respect of the pre-sentence restorative justice volunteer facilitators;
  • Provide facilitation of pre-sentence restorative justice cases.

The role will be based at the offices of Thames Valley Partnership, Chilton, Buckinghamshire HP18 9NA.
