Job opportunity: Restorative Practitioner x 2 - Youth

The Remedi team in Manchester is looking for TWO part-time Restorative Practitioners to facilitate one to one and group based programmes with young people. Our new team members will spend most of their time in Manchester Youth Justice venues and in community venues around the city centre. We are looking for someone who is able to work creatively to engage and support young people through the intensive part of their community order.

Location: City of Manchester

Hours: 25 hours per week

Salary: £20,280  per annum, pro rata (£14,485 actual) plus 6% employer pension contribution.

Funding for these posts is initially secured for one year from commencement with continuation funding sought.

The role of Restorative Practitioner involves delivering one to one and group based programmes to young people in a youth justice setting, to address negative behaviours. This will mainly involve working with young people on intensive support and surveillance (ISS). Along with the effective supervision of young people during these sessions, your role will be to motivate and engage them in positive activities throughout their court order. The aim of this role is to support and enable young people to understand and reflect on their behaviours and provide them with the skills to move towards a more positive future.

You must have a full driving license and access to your own vehicle.
