Family Engagement Worker with Restorative Practice

As a Restorative Practice Practitioner you will deliver restorative practice-based casework with a small cohort of young men in HMP YOI Aylesbury supporting them to develop and maintain better relationships, become more self-aware and to see conflict and its resolution as a part of life, through facilitating restorative conversations with estranged family members and significant others.
To be successful in this role you will have demonstrable experience working with families and disadvantaged groups in a multi-agency environment and experience of supporting individuals with multiple and complex needs. You will also harness the ability to work in diverse groups of staff and service users with experience of working in a prison setting, having an awareness and understanding of the challenges in delivering a broad family service. Experience with interagency work is essential for this post along with building partnerships with the prison, promoting positive relationships between different agencies, and developing new approaches to service delivery.
This post is subject to a 6-month probationary period, verification of identity and proven right to work in the UK, satisfactory references from previous employers covering a 3-year period, declaration of any unspent criminal convictions (and where appropriate a satisfactory risk assessment), Prison Vetting and a Disclosure and Barring Service check. Please note that being bankrupt or having County Court Judgements may affect your ability to be successfully vetted to work in a prison.

Salary | £24,500 per annum plus £1,000 market supplement FTE (£9,800 per annum plus £400 MS actual)
