Early Intervention Practitioner

This is an opportunity to join an exciting new project in the North of Manchester with the goal of deterring children and young people from crime. In partnership with Manchester Youth Justice, Remedi are recruiting to this role as part of a group of professionals that will be supporting young people in the community and education settings.
They are looking for someone who is passionate about helping people and want to work in a job where they can make a tangible difference to someone's life.
Remedi are keen to hear from candidates who have a genuine desire and motivation to help and support young people that are on the periphery of the criminal justice system to deter them from this path.
A key element of your work will be the delivery of both 1-1 and group sessions with young people as well as delivering workshops in schools. These sessions will take a restorative approach and will be based on the needs of the young people accessing the service.
This project will take a holistic approach to early intervention so you will need to work closely with Manchester Youth Justice Service, Greater Manchester Police colleagues, schools and youth provisions within the community. We want this person to spend most of their time working WITH young people and their families, however they will also be expected to attend multi-agency meetings and panels to discuss cases and make appropriate referrals to other agencies for further support.
Level 2 vetting and DBS checks will be required.
