The RJC is pleased to announce that Durham Restorative Hub has been awarded the Restorative Service Quality Mark (RSQM).

Chris Straker, the RJC’s interim chief executive, said:

“Through successfully completing the RSQM, Durham Restorative Hub has demonstrated that it provides the highest standards in restorative practice and I would like to congratulate the team for this achievement.”

The RSQM is a badge of quality that guarantees that a service provides safe, high quality restorative practice which meets the six Restorative Service Standards. Durham Restorative Hub joins other RSQM awardees – in sectors ranging from criminal justice through education to care – delivering high quality restorative processes.

Derek Robson, RJ Lead at Durham Restorative Hub, said:

“We were looking to ensure that our practices were viewed as safe and adhering to the standards of excellence which are set out by the RJC. It verifies to our funders and partners that we deliver a competent and professional service.

“It has allowed us to reflect upon all aspects of service delivery, but in particular has 'tidied up' our model of risk management and client care.

“The support has been excellent all of the way through the process.”
