Devon Youth Offending Restorative Justice Service has become the latest organisation to attain the Restorative Service Quality Mark (RSQM).

The RSQM is a rigorously assessed quality mark which demonstrates that services are delivering good quality, safe restorative services. Devon Youth Offending Restorative Justice Service joins 24 other RSQM holders, who work in a range of sectors, including criminal justice, education and care.

Matt Wilcox, a senior YOT officer at the youth offending team, said:

“The RSQM is a great way to measure the abilities of your service and drive improvements in restorative justice. It is well worth doing, but it takes commitment.

“I am proud that we chose to make the additional effort of getting the award for our whole restorative service rather than just our victim workers. No doubt this was the harder option, but I now have confidence to declare that Devon Youth Offending Team provides very high quality restorative justice services to victims and offenders across all areas of our work.”
