Development Officer

Why me? are recruiting a Restorative Justice Development Officer to work 3 days per week. They will work to increase awareness of Restorative Justice, develop best practices, develop and promote policy changes and act as a catalyst for increased use of Restorative Justice. They will particularly focus on managing and developing Project Articulate: our project aiming to increase access to Restorative Justice for people with English as an Additional Language.
The Why me? Restorative Justice Development Officer will be responsible for developing Why me? policy and developing Restorative Justice awareness and take-up among communities and individuals affected by crime in England and Wales. The work will involve connecting with and developing relationships with criminal, victim and Restorative Justice services and with community and equality groups accessed by individuals affected. The goal will be to increase awareness, develop best practice, develop and promote policy changes and act as a catalyst for increased use of Restorative Justice.
The post holder will be line managed by and report to the Deputy Director, Linda Millington.
Strategic governance is by the Board of Trustees

Hours | 21hours per week
Salary | £28,000 - £30,000 pro-rata
