Deputy Practice Manager - Restorative Approaches
Within Targeted Youth Support Service (TYSS) an exciting and rare opportunity has arisen to apply for the post of Deputy Practice Manager – Restorative Approaches after an internal promotion of the current post holder.
We are very committed to restorative approaches, and you could be the next lead manager in this vital service area delivering a strong, embedded restorative culture in all the work we do work with one another and with the children and families experiencing our service.
Your job will involve you further developing our highly valued Restorative Justice Council accredited Restorative Approaches training programme, delivering this across partner agencies and the council. You will manage and supervise our two Restorative Justice Workers, ensuring positive engagement with, and outcomes for, victims, children and families through intervention, mediation and reparation, in line with the Victims Code.
You will help co-ordinate the training and development of the Referral Order Panel members to ensure that youth panels are conducted in accordance with restorative principles and practice. You will also lead on the health offer within TYSS, developing the links between TYSS and Wigan CAMHS, Wigan School Nursing team and We Are With You drug and alcohol service. In addition, you will manage our two dedicated education workers, given the importance of restorative approaches in education.
