Community Project Officer

Restorative Justice for All (RJ4All) are looking for a Community Project Officer to deliver their local projects in South East London, including youth clubs, cultural and art workshops, awareness raising campaigns, research and policy work. The role involves carrying out research and fieldwork to managing projects. The post holder will be expected to monitor the impact and finances of their projects, develop new ideas and lead on discussions and policy debates resulting from their work. The role is office-based and 4 days per week.
Community Project Officers are line managed by the Community Centre Manager who reports to the Director. They work closely with our local communities in South East London and form part of the RJ4All Community Centre team.
Summary of Key tasks:
- To lead on delivering RJ4All’s community including our youth clubs, food bank and community fridge, workshops, carrying out qualitative/ quantitative research (secondary and primary), analysing and reporting on findings, carrying out evaluations, producing publications and delivering training.
- To be the line manager of a minimum of one part-time intern per project, and to line manage them including supporting them in their training and skills development needs.
- To communicate the results of their community projects to wider and targeted audiences through online and in print publications; help with the recruitment of service users and the dissemination of information locally and nationally.
