This intensive two-day course offers hands-on training designed for practitioners who already have experience of working as a restorative justice facilitator and are now working with complex and sensitive restorative cases. Through practical exercises and guided scenarios, participants learn to carry out thorough risk assessments and adapt interview techniques to meet the needs of individuals in challenging circumstances. The training provides a clear route through the Criminal Justice System, highlighting how to navigate processes and maintain strong partnership working throughout. Attendees explore the full restorative pathway, including the intricacies of shuttle communication, crafting restorative letters, and preparing for the unique challenges and emotional dynamics of face-to-face meetings. Significant focus is placed on constructing meaningful and achievable outcome agreements, as well as planning effective post-intervention and exit strategies to ensure safe, ethical, and sustainable practice. This comprehensive course equips practitioners with the skills, confidence, and structured approaches needed to lead restorative processes in the most demanding contexts.
