Restorative Practice Foundation level Facilitator Training
This training provides a strong foundation for anyone involved in restorative work or roles requiring confident, compassionate communication. Participants consistently describe it as “a toolkit for life”, offering skills that translate across every workplace and setting - from education and health services to corporate teams, voluntary organisations, and criminal justice environments.
The course explores restorative practice from both a micro and macro perspective. On a micro level, learners develop practical tools such as assertive communication, de-escalation strategies, restorative questioning, and techniques for supported conversations. On a macro level, the training examines how restorative approaches can shape culture, strengthen relationships, and embed fair, relational systems within organisations.
Bringing together restorative principles, coaching techniques, and elements of transactional analysis, the training helps teams communicate with clarity, navigate conflict constructively, and collaborate in more creative and accountable ways. The result is a deeper understanding of how to build and sustain positive working relationships - and the confidence to apply restorative skills in real-world situations.
Participants from all sectors are welcome. It has been delivered successfully across a wide range of sectors, including:
*Education & Health services (including Mental Health inpatient hospitals)
*Voluntary sector organisations
*Criminal justice (including prisons)
*Executive and corporate workplaces
*Statutory agencies
