Blackburn with Darwen Youth Justice Service

Description:

Blackburn with Darwen Youth Justice Service is a statutory organisation that provides restorative justice services to children and young people who have offended, and victims of youth crime who have been referred by the police and courts. In addition we work across the local authority including in schools and children's homes, raising awareness of RJ and encouraging the use of restorative solutions.

We offer a range of restorative solutions including restorative conferencing, mediation, restorative referral order panels, and direct and indirect reparation. We have a number of experienced and trained, registered, restorative practitioners, who are headed by an RJC Accredited Practitioner. As well as practicing restorative solutions on a daily basis, members of the team are IIRP trained to deliver restorative conferencing training.
