The RJC Practitioner Competency Framework

The RJC Practitioner Competency Framework provides an overview of the behaviours and skills required of those working in the restorative practice field and is intended to raise standards and support practitioners in their professional development.

The Framework has been created through consultation with a cross section of practitioners, professional bodies, statutory services and academics. It is an important step towards standardising restorative practice across England and Wales, and will help practitioners meet new challenges and build confidence in the restorative field.

The Framework has been designed to be flexible so that it can apply across different types of restorative practice without being overly prescriptive. It can be used by practitioners who work in a range of sectors and settings and by full time practitioners, those who carry out restorative processes as part of their role, and volunteers.
