The All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for Restorative Justice has today published their report of the inaugural Inquiry which took place over the summer. The Inquiry, titled ‘Restorative Practices in 2021/22’ sought to assess where the sector is at the moment, and what steps could be taken to improve and coordinate the various services to improve outcomes for victims and offenders. The Inquiry marked the first major piece of work for the APPG, which was only constituted in April 2021.
The RJC is pleased to announce that Thames Valley Restorative Justice Service (TVRJS) have been awarded Registered Training Provider status.
An established training and consultancy provider, TVRJS specialise in designing and delivering bespoke training packages tailored to reflect the characteristics, vision and goals of a specific area or setting.
Ahead of the formal publication of the Restorative Justice All-Party Parliamentary Group Inquiry Report (‘Restorative Practices in 2021/2022’) the APPG is delighted to welcome new applications to join the Advisory Board for the 2021/2022 session.
The RJC is pleased to announce that the established Restorative Approaches: Theory and Practice Level 5 course, run by the Royal Borough of Greenwich has gained RJC Approved Course status. The Level 5 programme has been designed to develop practitioners with both theoretical and practical excellence and is unique in its focus of combining the crucial elements of theory, practice and implementation.
We are pleased to announce that Victim Support NI has become the first organisation in Northern Ireland to achieve Registered status. As an independent charity supporting people affected by crime, Victim Support NI offer a free and confidential service, whether or not a crime has been reported and regardless of how long ago the event took place.
