This course is for staff who work face to face with children, young people, families and schools. You will be trained to facilitate restorative practices such as formal conferences, corridor and playground chats and class circles.
The course runs over three days, a week apart: Thursday 27 June, Thursday 4 July, and Thursday 11 July 2019. Participants must attend all three training days.
This course will encourage all residential staff to think about their responses to challenging behaviour and conflict. It aims to strengthen their skills needed to build and sustain positive relationships by addressing conflict in a more positive way.
This course is for schools that are looking to train staff to facilitate restorative practices such as formal conferences, corridor and playground chats and class circles. The course is suitable for Senior and Middle Leaders, Pastoral Staff, SenCos, Family Workers and class teachers.
Ideally, the person attending the course will be able to implement changes when back in school. People from Primary, Secondary and FE settings are welcome. We are limiting the numbers to 12 participants so as to ensure a quality trainer – participant ratio.
