Being Restorative in Education

Join us on the 21st November for a Conference Without Keynotes facilitated by Remedi.

Being Restorative in Education is a conference with a twist for people working in primary, secondary and special education. Instead of being lectured from the lectern by keynote speakers, attendees will drive learning themselves by participating in interactive table games and discussion over the course of the day. With the opportunity to record learning, reflections and ideas in their conference passports as they move around the different exercises.
The conference will be a great opportunity to:

• Learn the core principles of restorative practice
• Learn fun ways to introduce and embed restorative practice values in your school
• Meet with people from other schools and share ideas and practice

Explore:
• Restorative classroom and corridor language
• Creating value based ‘rules’ and accountability
• Restorative practice and Nurture/Trauma informed principles
• Restorative circles for conflict and community building
• Inclusive and accessible practice
• Collaborating WITH children
• Telling stories from different perspectives
• Encouraging responsibility without shaming

Quotes from previous education events:
“Lots of simple language tips for building relationships.”
“Will help explore the context and get to the root of the problem.”

“Just brilliant!”
