Complex and Sensitive RJ Training
This course is to train existing RJ facilitators to develop the additional skills to tackle complex and sensitive (C & S) restorative justice cases.
This work includes a deeper understanding of trauma and resilience and how the restorative process needs to adapt in cases that are C & S. The training includes advance risk assessments; including risk, needs and benefits. The training also works methodically through a case from initial interview to completion.
There is practical training on working with other professionals and the challenges within the Criminal Justice System. The training includes training around recognising grooming and coercive control. The training also includes an understanding of how to assess whether cases are suitable for the process. The training includes how to manage ourselves when dealing with C & S cases.
The training is 2 consecutive days by zoom.
