Online Conflict Competence Course
We all know the destructive potential of conflict in both our personal and professional lives. Despite this, we often continue to deal with conflict in the same ways. Some of us are conflict phobic - we will avoid it at any cost, often to our own detriment. Some of us use conflict to assert our own power - at whatever cost, often to the detriment of others. Whatever our conflict style is, conflict is unavoidably emotional. The Restorative Lab will host an engaging, shared learning experience to help you deepen your understanding of conflict and provide you with the skills to be able to deal with conflict more constructively in your everyday life, both personally and professionally.
This course is for people who work with people. If you work in role of support, guidance, or leadership in HR, Learning and Development, Professional Services or Education, then this course is for you.
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
- Assess how a particular situation or relationship is affecting you and identify options for action.
- Communicate your perspective on a given situation or relationship to another with honesty and compassion.
- Engage others in 1:1 dialogue to arrive at greater mutual understanding about a given situation or relationship.
