Three-day restorative practitioner training - schools
A restorative approach offers schools an alternative way of addressing discipline and behavioural issues and offers a consistent framework for responding to these issues. The aim of this training is to contribute to the building of a strong, mutually respectful, safe, inclusive and peaceful school community. This course provides intensive, interactive facilitator training, focusing on an understanding of restorative ethos and the practice of sound restorative practitioner skills.
This training is delivered by Peacemakers. The course has met the Restorative Justice Council's (RJC) training standards and has been awarded a Training Provider Quality Mark. This course will be delivered by an RJC Accredited Practitioner. This training is values-led. This means that many of our decisions and practices (such as restorative ways of working) and training are anchored in values. Where we can, we try to resist the urge to do the expedient thing, the easy thing, and choose to the right thing a little more often.
The course runs over three days, a week apart: Thursday 27 June, Thursday 4 July, and Thursday 11 July 2019. Participants must attend all three training days. You will be provided with some pre-course materials and a course handbook. You will be contacted during the week to share learning and relevant resources from the day. Support continues after the course with a follow-up phone call to see how the restorative work is progressing.
Throughout the training days, there will be unlimited refreshments and a lovely hot lunch. Peacemakers will nourish your belly as well as your mind!
Early bird prices are £350 (book before 30 April 2019).
Tickets are £450 per person thereafter. If you'd like to book more than two people, please give us a call so we can arrange a discount for you.
