In this session we will introduce the fundamentals of Artificial Int elligence and explore its growing economic impact across public and third-sector services. Focusing specifically on the restorative justice landscape\ , Darren will examine how AI is likely to influenc e funding models\, operational efficiency\, and ev idencing impact.

The sessio n will also highlight practical ways AI can suppor t restorative justice organisations — from reducin g administrative burden to enhancing data insight — while addressing key ethical considerations\, in cluding bias\, transparency\, safeguarding\, and r esponsible use. This presentation offers a balance d\, practical perspective on how AI can augment pr actice without compromising the relational integri ty at the heart of restorative justice.

Drawing from training and practice acro ss different conflict resolution approaches\, this session looks at tools and models that can enrich your existing RJ work. Sankofa Circles: Embodi ment\, Memory\, and Collective Healing in Restorat ive Justice

Sankofa Circles invite restorative practitioners to return to ancestral ways of knowi ng that centre relationship\, embodiment\, collect ive memory\, and dignity. This highly interactive session blends restorative dialogue\, storytelling \, and embodied practices to explore how decolonia l approaches can strengthen truth-telling\, harm r epair\, and community healing.
